This piece was done as a 95th birthday present for my husband’s Great Aunt Pearl. This lady was with us until the age of 96 1/2 (yes, I believe she earned that extra 1/2 back after so long). She was a spitfire of a woman who kept her wits about her until the end, who worked as a bookkeeper until the age of 95, and who took me in as family as soon as we met. She meant a lot to everyone in the family, including our daughter. Aunt Pearl placed this portrait on the wall opposite the very chair she is pictured in.
Portrait drawn and painted digitally.
